This week, we worked on retelling stories with sequence words such as first, next, then, and last. Early in the week, we watched a short Pixar Clip and did a "sequence walk" to practice our skills and collaborate ideas. We soon found the importance of finding the most important points when retelling a story. By Friday, we were ready to "build" our knowledge about sequencing with LEGOS!!! The students from Mrs. Cripe's, Mrs. Hawkins', and our class worked together to make their own story scene with legos. After creating their visual story, they then created the sequence of their story, using their lego design as inspiration. Finally, they used their sequence outline to help them create detailed and creative stories! The kids had a blast! It was so fun to see where their creativity took them!
