Problem solving is a huge component of our learning in advanced math. After discussing what it means to problem solve and how to act as we problem solve with other people, we put our skills to the test! This week we have been practicing number sense, and the students had fun modeling their knowledge with the place value blocks. Our classroom technology came in handy as the students presented their thinking and demonstrated how they used the manipulatives in front of the class. I can't wait to watch my math students expand their learning with problem solving this year!
